本場講座聚焦瓦吉·穆阿瓦的兩部重要作品《海之邊》與《孤身》，由王世偉與導演瓦吉．穆阿瓦共同對談，帶領觀眾理解其創作脈絡與劇場思考。 穆阿瓦的創作長期圍繞宿命、離散、家族記憶與身份認同等核心命題，透過角色的旅程與內在追尋，回應戰爭經驗、記憶創傷與人的存在處境。《海之邊》以尋父旅程展開，觸及戰爭、死亡與家族關係的複雜交織；《孤身》則以獨角戲形式，轉向更為內在與私密的自我書寫，延續其對記憶與身份的深層提問。 透過兩部作品的對照，講座將進一步梳理穆阿瓦如何以「旅程」作為劇場結構，串連離散經驗與家族創傷，並探討其如何透過身體、聲音、影像與空間等舞台語言，使記憶與情感在劇場中被重新感知與觀看。 ▌ 主持人 王世偉 畢業於國立臺北藝術大學，後赴法國鑽研劇場美學，以實務者的角度參與、解讀、分析、研究表演藝術。 創作歷程涵蓋實踐與研究，持續探索嶄新形式與當代議題。2020年，以《群眾》獲得第18屆台新藝術獎「表演藝術獎」。導演作品如《爭》、《壵》、《虛擬日常》，透過實驗性美學突破形式框架，挑戰當代社會的權力結構。近年來，也積極拓展跨域合作，以戲劇構作的身份深化表演藝術語言的多元可能。 ▌ 講者 瓦吉·穆阿瓦 當代法語劇場最具國際影響力的劇作家、導演與演員。1968年出生於黎巴嫩，童年因內戰流亡巴黎，隨家人移居魁北克，後返法國定居。著作逾40部、劇作23部，作品翻譯成20多種語言，巡演五大洲。他的書寫深植家族記憶、戰爭創傷與身分認同，融合多元文化與敘事美學，透過魔幻寫實與時空跳接的手法，將私密創傷轉化為時代史詩。2009年推出長達11小時的代表作《血誓四部曲》，《海之邊》即為開篇之作。系列第二部《烈火焚身》後來改編為電影，入圍奧斯卡最佳外語片。 This talk focuses on two major works by Wajdi Mouawad, Littoral and Seuls , in a conversation between Wang Shih-Wei and director Wajdi Mouawad. Together, they will explore Mouawad's artistic journey, creative concerns, and theatrical vision. Throughout his body of work, Mouawad has consistently engaged with themes of destiny, exile, family memory, and identity. Through journeys—both physical and internal—his characters confront the legacies of war, inherited trauma, and fundamental questions of human existence. Littoral begins as a son's search for his father and unfolds into a complex reflection on war, death, and family relationships. Seuls , by contrast, turns inward through the form of a solo performance, pursuing a more intimate exploration of memory, selfhood, and belonging. By considering these two works together, the talk aims to examine how Mouawad employs the motif of the journey as a theatrical structure linking experiences of displacement and family trauma. It will also explore how he uses the languages of theatre—body, voice, image, and space—to transform memory and emotion into a shared theatrical experience.
